Alopecia Areata

Rather common condition and may develop at any age. There is patchy loss of hair. An auto immune phenomenon is at play here. Sometimes hair regrows even with out any treatment. But sadly, sometimes it doesn’t and hence may require treatment.

Telogen Effluvium

This is the type of hair fall that occurs after a period of stress. A good example is the hair fall that occurs after pregnancy. This may also happen after any serious illness, surgical procedures, road traffic accidents, etc. No treatment is required for this. The hair inevitably grows back as the general health of the body improves.
